What is Louder Than A Bomb (LTAB)?
When will LTAB take place?
How can I participate?
Whom can I contact if I have a question?
Louder Than A Bomb was started in 2001 in Chicago by poets Anna West and Kevin Coval. It’s since grown to be the largest teen poetry festival in the world, and even inspired a full-length feature film.
The mission? “Aiming to bring teens together across racial, gang, and socio-economic lines, LTAB is a friendly competition that emphasizes self-expression and community via poetry, oral story-telling, and hip-hop spoken word.”
This Spring 2012, Mass LEAP celebrates the creation of the very first Louder Than A Bomb festival in
Massachusetts.
Here’s the projected schedule:
Friday, March 30th: 8am-3pm MIT Kresge Auditorium & Adjacent Class Rooms Crossing the Street & Student Day of Poetry in conjunction with Mass Poetry Festival & MIT’s “80 Proof Poets” ASA Club.

(Note: We have reached our capacity! Registration is currently closed for 2012) All Louder than a Bomb Teams registered to compete are required to attend this day long session that includes workshops, strategies and events geared towards addressing and crossing the borders that divide us, making friends and building community with each other.
